The Ritual of Decluttering

Decluttering your home can seem like a monumental task, but if you understand it as a ritual for abundance, prosperity, peace, love and happiness, you can approach it with a different mindset. Decluttering has several spiritual impacts on your life such as creating space for new things or persons in your life, removing blockages to abundance and prosperity and keeping the "airways" open in your home for good health and to reduce sickness.

Here are some steps to help you declutter effectively:

1. Start Small: Choose one area or room to start with. It could be a drawer, a closet, or a room. Starting small can make the task feel less overwhelming.

2. Sort Your Items: Sort your items into categories: keep, donate, sell, or throw away. Be honest with yourself about what you really need and use.

3. Remove Unnecessary Items: Once you've sorted your items, remove the ones you're not keeping. Donate or sell items that are still in good condition, and throw away or recycle items that are broken or worn out.

4. Organize What's Left: Now that you've decluttered, it's time to organize. Find a place for everything and keep similar items together. Use storage solutions like boxes, baskets, and shelves to help keep things tidy.

5. Maintain Your Space: Once you've decluttered and organized, make an effort to keep it that way. Regularly go through your items and remove anything you no longer need or use.

6. Create a Peaceful Atmosphere: Now that your space is decluttered, you can focus on creating a peaceful atmosphere. This could involve adding plants, candles, or artwork, or simply rearranging your furniture to create a more comfortable and inviting space. Once I have decluttered a space I like to light a white candle to bless the new space that has been created.

Remember, decluttering is a process. It can take time, but the results are worth it. A decluttered home can help reduce stress, increase productivity, and create a more peaceful and harmonious living environment.
